Wilson is a pointer terrier mix that has been a longtime resident of the O.C. Humane Society and recently Newport Beach Animal Control officer Valerie Schomberg rescued Wilson from the shelter.
His over-active exuberant personality, coupled with mouthy playfulness was being misunderstood at the shelter and was putting him at risk. Wilson is being boarded now, but, it isn’t the same as having a home for the holidays.
Wilson is just a year and a half old and therefore he never tires of chasing a ball, or a Frisbee, or even jumping in the water and swimming either. Training has helped Wilson contain his youthful exuberance and he is crate trained, too. But, Wilson still needs a yard to run and play in to bring out his goofy side.
The perfect home for Wilson is with an active individual, or a family that enjoys their backyard who has experience with active dogs. His liveliness is attributed to his young age and a mix of three very active breeds that need a lot of exercise.
