My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy was dumped by her previous owner when the owner moved and decided that Poppy wasn't worth keeping. So she dumped Poppy at the Merced pound where they kill 83% of all the animals they take in. That was almost 10,000 animals last year. Lucky for Poppy one of the volunteers at the Merced pound asked if Poppy could be included in the group of dogs we were rescuing from Merced. Poppy is crate trained, loves to play with other dogs, is affectionate, walks on leash and rides pretty well in the car. We are not sure how she is with cats yet.
