My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Regis. I am a very happy puppy. I live with my foster doggie friends and I love it. I would love another doggie friend to show me the ropes and that I can play with and snuggle with in my forever home.  Foster mom says I like to get into trouble because I steal her shoes, dig in the trash, and generally sneak off to do things I know I am not supposed to. My excuse is I am learning and teething so I cant help myself. I don’t fully understand the concept of going outside to go potty yet but slowly I am getting there. I don’t like to go out in the cold. I know how to go to my crate when told, I know sit even though I can be stubborn about it, and I am slowly learning other things too.

I also love to snuggle with my human friends to but only at home.  When I go out with you my curiosity gets the better of me and I want to explore instead of relax. I am very curious and friendly and will say hi to people and doggies we may see while we are out and about.  I don’t like to get into a car but once inside I lay down till we get where we are going.

If you have something mom calls cats at home I don’t mind them at all. I like to sniff them and I might chase them a little when they run but I will not start the chase.

More about this rescue

P.A.R. is a volunteer dog rescue organization dedicated to rescuing German Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers in shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.

We are also dedicated to teaching awareness, education, help and mentoring the public and veterinarians the skills on caring for special need dogs with Mega Esophagus.

We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process and will continue to be a helpful resource after you have welcomed your new pet into your life...

We are determined to keep administrative expenses extremely low so that virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the dogs. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the dog beyond the adoption process, with regards to care, education, resources, training. Fundamentally all donations will be spent directly on the care of the animals.
