Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Koda (formally Apollo) is a gorgeous boy who starts out shy but he will warm up. He loves to be pet and will come to you for a treat. Every morning he assumes the position for a belly rub. Koda finds a safe space in the house and will bring a toy to it and sit there and play. Koda is extremely well behaved on a leash once the leash is on him. There are times when he may be stubborn and will not want to be leashed. Koda will need a backyard with at least a 5 ft. fence for those stubborn times. We discovered he is also able to jump a 4 ft. fence. He really enjoys playing with toys and running around in the yard. Koda does like to bark. He would really benefit being in a home with another dog since he likes to play so much.
Koda was rescued from a rural shelter in Neuces County Texas. Originally thought to be a lab mix, we are now thinking he is German Shepherd and Husky. Approximately 9 months old and 35 pounds and located in Richmond Virginia with her foster. Current on rabies, bordetella, and distemper parvo. Heartworm negative. Neutered and microchipped. Housetrained and crate trained. He has successfully tested with a child as young as 10.
Adoption fee is $500.
Please keep in mind adoption fees are a donation and are used to rescue more dogs and cover their vaccines, spay, and neuter.
Please feel free to email deb@goldenyearspuprescue.org with any questions you have about the pups we have listed for adoption. Phone calls will only be returned once an application has been submitted.
