Meet Meli

Pronounced May-Lee. It means "honey"

Meli was part of an emergency rescue of a mama syrian and babies done back in June that were all being housed together. For anyone who does not know, syrian hamsters are **strictly** solitary and as a result of their being housed together there were only a few survivors. Meli, and siblings Snickerdoodle and Voodoo, were never handled as babies and came to us traumatized due to their incredibly chaotic start in life.

These babies were completely unsocialized, bordering on feral, and spend every second of their day terrified. While we have been making slow but steady progress, every single thing still scares Meli half to death so he is in need of extra patient and understanding adopter or foster to help him move past his fear ❤️
