Meet beautiful Tulip!

Tulip is a 1-year-old Dalmatian Pit mix and is DEAF. She is currently in a foster home and her momma has this update for us...

Tulip is the happiest child without a care in the world! Calm, but still just a baby little thing (not to be trusted for long periods unsupervised), has been crate trained for this reason. Copes well with new routines, not scared or anxious. Open to and non-aggressive when introduced to people/dogs/cats/small animals (she has a chinchilla friend!). Takes cues easily from older trained dogs. Very quiet, only barks when trying to instigate play.

Likes:
- Window gazing
- Invading personal space
- Being carried around like a sack of potatoes
- Sitting in front of the sink while dinner is being made
- Following the cat around to see if she wants to play (she usually doesn’t)
- Jumping onto/off of the porch without using the steps
- Chasing lasers/reflected light, like a cat… she might actually just be a cat
- Shoes. If left alone with shoes she will find them and eat the insoles

Dislikes:
- Having her belly scratched. Will nibble at you like a piranha… also proof of cat

Currently learning:
- Better leash manners
- Hand signals for basic household commands
- Not running through mud every day, and waiting patiently to get cleaned before coming back in the house
