My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With an Aussie mom and a dad who was a rambling man – but obviously had strong genes - Wally has the softest ears and is great with the other dogs in his foster home. He adores the children in his foster family (5 & 7) and cuddles on the couch with them. At 60 pounds and 10 months, Wally is still a puppy, filled with puppy energy and exuberance.

He’s gone through professional training, and knows ‘sit,’ ‘down,’ ‘go to your spot,’ and ‘off,’ among other commands. He needs some work on recall and of course, isn’t fully trained because he’s still a puppy. But he’s good on a leash, he’s crate trained, and is safe to leave roaming the house – no shoe-chewing for this guy! He loves fetch, and is very happy chomping on a bone, and is playful and very affectionate.

Wally is up to date on vaccines and preventatives, but is not yet neutered; the vet has recommended waiting until he is a year old due to his size. Because Wally is a puppy and is big, bouncy, and silly, care would need to be taken with toddlers and babies until he grows out of his puppy stage. Wally will need a home without cats or bunnies.

The perfect home for Wally would provide a lot of opportunity for exercise and play, and adopters who are able to work on training and socialization to make sure he grows into the wonderful, affectionate, happy best dog he can be! He is so intelligent and is the sweetest darling you'll ever meet. If you're the right 'forever person' for Wally, please apply!
