We name our kittens based on their rescue. Belmont is one of three from the “Famous Horses II Gang” Born approximately 8/15/20 to a feral mother (who was TNVR'd (trapped/neutered/vaccinated/returned) and the kittens enter our deferalization boot-camp program) Kittens are not born feral, they learn the traits from their mother. The earlier we trap them, the faster the socialization process goes. We have an awesome track record for their turn around! Belmont is a happy, well adjusted bouncy boy! **This is a slow process. We are two women and the rescues in our care are priority. Mothers and babies, plus field trapping, being on the road, fundraising for medical costs, handling of social media, emails, calls and more....sorry, please be patient. Messages are responded to in the order in which they were received both method and chronological. **We can move over to communicating via text (once all is approved) and you are added as a contact. We BEG you, don’t start multiple modes of communication. It just slows things down looking for the original content in order to be able to respond appropriately. Thanks for understanding! *** PLEASE READ*** Here's our process: The first step is to have an approved application. Please fill out an application, should you wish to proceed. IT IS FASTER TO GO RIGHT TO OUR WEBSITE AND COMPLETE AN APPLICATION THAN SENDING AN INQUIRY HERE! (Kitten availability changes quickly!) They are fillable on our website. www.CastAsideToSurvive.org (you can ask for a PDF version when using the 'respond' button on Petfinder. Adoption fee is $150.00 first kitten/cat and 50% for the second, includes parasite preventatives (internal & external). Kitten series vaccines, rabies and spay/neuter. We do not have a brick and mortar building, so we rely on private foster homes to house our kittens/cats that are available for adoption. We try to post as much as possible on social media for your selection purposes. We are on Instagram and Twitter but Facebook is our primary, with more details. We only hold kittens with a full adoption fee paid (non refundable) otherwise, we pass up other potential adopters for a 'on hold' kitten, only to find out they changed their minds and we missed a window of opportunity. **Payments can be made through Paypal (CastAsideToSurvive@gmail.com) or our website or facebook page (use the donate button) . You will receive a tax donation receipt immediately. You would need to forward the receipt to us a proof, as we do not get reports of payments until the end of the month. Once the kitten reaches 3 pounds, they will be spayed/neutered and given their rabies vaccine. We recuperate 2 days post-operatively before medically releasing them to their new FURLESS homes. *** When the adoption process is finalized in person, there is a binding contract that needs to be reviewed and signed.
