My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is a typical JRT in every way! He just wants to have fun! When you are only 2 years old that’s what you do! It would be great if he had a little female doggie to play with. But, nothing tiny. Tucker’s playmate needs to be at least 10-12 pounds to handle this rowdy 15 pound boy. In addition to running around outside he loves to snuggle with you. He’s just an all around great little guy. Tucker is neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and ready to roll! This athletic boy needs a securely fenced yard to run and play in. An apartment will not be a good idea for him. He’s got way too much energy and will bark when left alone and would disturb neighbors! JRTs are notorious for escaping their yards and this guy is no exception, so a secure wooden privacy fence is best for him. No chainlink for this guy as he will climb it. No wrought iron either because he can wiggle through it or he will try and dig under. No electronic fencing either, this guy will run through it. Please do not apply if you cannot meet the fence requirements. Tucker won’t do well in a home with cats either. He’s not a big fan of cats! Based on what we know about his history and what his foster mom has learned about him, we believe he will need a home with no young kiddos. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt. His adoption fee is $275. If you are interested please fill out the online adoption application at www.RussellRescue.com.
