Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bandit is a beautiful one year old Aussie mix. He is neutered and current on immunizations. We think he may have some retriever in him because he is so lovable and goofy. Bandit welcomes everyone into the home, he is super soft and gentle with the kids and us. He is a quick learner and in this little bit has learned to sit, lay down, touch, and walk on a leash. He would love a spot on the couch, but he respects the rules and stays on the placement. He loves to play especially with another dog. He loves hugs and cuddles and is really the sweetest. He won my aggressive protective dog over which is saying a lot.
Bandit does not like being in his crate and will get out. He gets anxious being locked up but does well loose in the house which eliminates the need for a crate. We opted to just use a baby gate for the upstairs and door to our room. He will do best in a household where someone is usually home or only gone a short time. He is naturally curious so you can’t leave food on the counter because when you are not around he will investigate but he is definitely not a thief like my dogs. On walks he may bark out of excitement to meet another dog but we are working on that and I can help with the training if needed. He is learning to look but not bark.
He loves to chew antlers which keeps him busy between playing with my dog and napping. He also enjoys long walks which we do often in the greenbelt.
I haven’t seen if he swims but i can tell you that bathing him was super easy.
Bandit is wonderful and we really want to see him go to a great family. We rescued him from a kill shelter. He does have heart worm but the treatment will be covered by the rescue. We are going out of town Nov 17 and would love to find a foster to adopt situation.
The perfect home for Bandit would be a family with another dog and a person who is home most of the time. An active family to show him lots of adventures and attention. If you think that Bandit is the perfect fit for y our family, please fill out our application:
