Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Sharpy, but my friends call me Sharpie, really because I am so dark that my gorgeous dark beauty will leave a mark wherever I go! (And of course, my name is also a play with Shar Pei, a breed of which I definitely have some genes!)

I had a home, but my owner could no longer take care of me, so I came back here to the shelter. I was also not feeling my best when I arrived. It's been a bit of an adjustment, but I am working on getting settled and I am also getting good medical care and am already feeling better!

I would love to find a home where my new person or family gives me space and time to adjust -- and then I'll be the most loyal dog pal you can imagine (shar peis are known for their intelligence and loyalty).

Who needs a dark beauty in their home? I am ready to be it!

We're dedicated to finding loving homes for all the pets in our care. All you need is love-- and a state issued ID.

WE HAVE 2 ADOPTION CENTERS TO SERVE YOU:

Our doors are open from 12 PM to 7 PM every day, offering you ample time to visit and meet your potential new companion. Please arrive no later than 6:30 PM to ensure you have plenty of time to interact with our adorable pups.

Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Be sure to bring a leash for your new dog or a carrier for your new cat or small animal. Most animals are ready to go home with you right after you meet them!

Can't make it in person? No problem! We offer virtual adoptions for animals in foster homes. From the comfort of your own home, you can browse our pets online, set up virtual meet and greets, and even conduct adoption counseling sessions.
