My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I’m Lola, a five-pound, ten-year-old female purebred chihuahua, vaccinated, spayed, and on heartworm preventative. I’ve been looking high and low (but mostly low–I am a chihuahua, after all) for a new human to love…could you be the one?

My foster mom says I’m an absolute sweetheart, and I’m not too modest to admit it’s true! I’m an easygoing dog who just wants to be held and lie quietly by your side all day. If you feel like going out for a stroll, I’m great on a leash and friendly with the neighbors. I’m pretty smart too! I learned the new routine at my foster home quickly, especially the parts that involved getting treats…yum! I’m also very good about pottying on my pee pads.

My previous human died recently, and I went to live with her daughter-in-law. I thought my job there was to boss around the two larger male dogs and felt pretty strongly about it. Now I live with my foster mom and get along just fine with her two larger female dogs. I even allow them to take over my crate if they want; I just find another cozy spot to sleep. I guess I just have a problem with boys.

I hope you’ll help end my search for the perfect forever home. Save me a spot on the couch…or better yet, your lap!
