Dolly was a 3rd cat in our home 2 years ago and she created some behavioral issues with another cat we had for a few years. The other cat stopped using the litter box. We were able to successfully rehome her 2 years ago but a few months ago she was found as a lost cat and we were still on the microchip. Unable to locate the rehomed owner, we decided to give it a try again. 2 years did not change the behavioral issues and the other cat has stopped using the litter box again.
She appears to have had stress issues before she came to us because she has licked herself bald in a few spots. The vet said this was not a skin condition, likely stress from being at the shelter when she was a lost pet.
