Punkin has been waiting patiently on the bench since September 2022, dreaming of the day she'll find her forever team. She's incredibly smart, acing all her training sessions with the finesse of a seasoned pro. However, after spending so much time in the shelter, the stress has started to dim her shine, making her a bit reserved. This means people tend to overlook how intelligent and charming she truly is. Despite her reserved demeanor, Punkin is a fun-loving, loyal companion who loves nothing more than being part of the action. She's got energy to spare and is always super excited to play and have fun with her people. Punkin is also a team player who gets along well with other dogs and loves a good rough-and-tumble session with her furry friends. Punkin is looking for a coach who will pick her and help build back her confidence. If you're ready to draft an energetic, loving, and loyal dog into your home, Punkin is ready to join your team and become the star player she was always meant to be. To meet Punkin, please call 843-249-4948 to schedule an appointment, or you can submit an application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/dog-adoption-form/.
If you are interested in fostering Punkin, please submit a foster application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/be-a-foster-caregiver/

HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.
Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.
Adoption Fees:
Cats (over 6 months of age): $60
Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
Puppies (under 6 months of age): $140
Seniors ages 60 and up qualify for discounted adoptions fees.
