My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lily is an active 9-year-old Dachshund. She weighs 12 sleek pounds and has a lovely tan coat. She is housetrained to a doggie door or will use potty pads. She also walks well on a leash. Lily would love a home with one or two seniors who would love her and devote their time to her. This sweet girl loves humans, especially men. She came from a home where her owner passed away and left her and her daughter with no place to go. They were placed in a shelter where the daughter was adopted leaving Lily lost and grieving.
She is overwhelmed by the number of dogs in her foster home. Lily would be happy to be an only pet, and much prefers to have no contact with little humans that move quickly and make loud noises. She learns a schedule quickly and can be quite vocal when she knows food is coming. For this reason, she would not do well in an apartment.
