Hi, I’m Misty! I’m a an 1-2 year old border collie mix. I am sweet, playful, smart and just a fun girl who just loves being with her people. Did I mention I’m adorable?!
Misty found herself in an overcrowded Southern California shelter. She ended up in rescue and her foster just loves her. Misty loves to play with her foster’s dogs! As she is great with her fosters dogs, she can take time to warm up to other dogs. Misty gets defensive and anxious when on leash meeting other dogs, so the adopter will half to either manage this or work with her. Again, Misty is great with the dogs she knows and trusts but does get leash reactive when passing by dogs she doesnt know. She acts like an under socialized puppy.
Misty is great with people! She loves meeting new people. She is affectionate, sweet and just a very nice dog when meeting someone new. She could have some manners worked on like jumping up when greeting but otheriwse is well mannered.
Misty loves car rides, walks, hikes and doing chores with you around the house! We would really like her to go to an experienced owner who is savvy with medium to higher energy dogs that can get overly excited and sometimes timid. She is going to make an ideal hiking partner for someone, or just a wonderful companion. She just needs soem basic training like recall and some leash work- her sit is very very good.
