Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Is yours the perfect family for this bonded pair of lovable collies?
Flynn is not quite 2 years old and Nessie isn’t even a year. They’re not littermates but they could be…perhaps uncle and niece…or father and daughter… or first or second cousins. DNA test shows them to be 74% related.
SCR does not often take in such an adorable pair of puppies already in their adult bodies!
Nessie and Flynn will only be adopted together. From rescue to foster, these dogs have made excellent progress, but they’re going to need an adopter who will dedicate themselves to providing a forever stable home of love, AND will commit to their continuing training.
Little Nessie is still very much a puppy and loves to chew. Flynn on the other hand is a stoic gentleman. Neither has shown any aggression towards people or any other dogs. Our foster Mom observes that both dogs are very sweet, gentle and loves to give kisses. They’re good with other dogs and children of all ages and sizes.
Flynn and Nessie walk well on a leash, love to ride in the car, sleep in crates every night; they’re totally house trained, microchipped, up-to-date on their shots, spayed and neutered, and both love to be groomed including having their nails trimmed!
The ideal adopting family will need to commit to continue professional training to enhance Nessie and Flynn’s self-assurance, increase their independent abilities and grow their confidence to please.
