Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Where do we start with this sweet girl? This adorable Chihuahua mix puppy is Louise. She is almost 5 months old and weighs about 7 pounds. She has been with us since she was born back in May. She had a disorder called "megaesophagus", in which the esophagus (the tube that carries food and liquid between the mouth and stomach) dilates (gets larger) and loses motility (its ability to move food into the stomach). (Source https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/megaesophagus). With some time, patience, love and meds, Louise's condition has resolved, and she has been given a clean bill of health. Louise is a happy, playful pup who loves the other dogs in her foster home, and she also loves cuddling up with her human. She is doing great with potty training, but being only 5 months old, will need patience and consistency in her forever home until she fully gets the hang of it.
Louise's ideal home will have:
*another small breed dog to help show Louise the ropes
*a securely fenced yard for her to run and play in (no apartments please)
*owner(s) who will love and spoil her
Louise has not been around children in her foster home, but we feel that she would be fine in a home with kids who are old enough to know how to be gentle with a small dog.
We do not transport; adopters must come here to meet and adopt. Local adopters that are a good match will have priority.
All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on this year's vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. The adoption fee is $150, if you're interested in adopting, please complete our Adoption Application on our website at www.allpawsrescueok.org.
