Hi! I’m Kutko, but my foster family has nicknamed me “Cookie” because they tell me I am a very sweet boy! Let me tell you a little about myself. I love to take walks and am good on the leash. I love to have my belly rubbed, and I give gentle kisses to my favorite people. I like to have a soft bed to sleep on (I follow the rules here and am not allowed on the furniture, but if you want to let me sleep on your bed I would be forever grateful!) and I sleep quietly all night on my bed.
I know commands like sit, down, and am learning to come when called. I have learned the polite behavior of lying down on my dog bed while my foster family is eating. I am very, very good in the house: I am housebroken, very respectful in the house, and my foster family has given me the run of the house even if they are out. Before I came to my foster family, I was lonely, because my owner traveled a lot with work. I would like a family where I am not left alone all day long every day, as it tends to make me sad and depressed. I am fine in the house when my people go out (my foster family comes and goes from the house all day long, and I am fine with all of this). I prefer to be at home, taking a nap in the same room as my people. They find it really funny when I fall asleep upside down with my paws in the air! Note from Cookie’s foster “mom”: Cookie is a sweet and funny boy. He is currently living in a family with small kids, and a female Brittany, he is great with everyone. While he has not lived with a cat, he has been around some cats and did not show much interest, sniffed a little but then gave them respectful space. He is great during car rides and will usually sleep. He loves visiting Petco and taking walks. He has a low to moderate exercise need, and really enjoys being out for a stroll and getting to sniff. He is healthy (right now he takes 1 benadryl each day for seasonal allergies), neutered and up to date on all shots and heartworm preventative. Cookie likes to play tennis ball in the yard. As he mentioned, he does frequently sleep upside down on his back, which is really funny to see. He is an excellent, nice boy who likes to just hang out and be part of a family, and will make a wonderful pet!
