Hi, I’m Bambi, and I’m an adorable twelve-year-old female chihuahua! I’m fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on heartworm medication. I’m an easygoing dog looking for someone to share their couch and their heart with me!
I was brought in as a stray in Elgin, Illinois, but, sadly, no one came to claim me. Thankfully, I was taken in by a great foster mom, but I hope a forever family comes along for me soon. I’m hoping for a human who loves to relax and snuggle because that’s what I do best! I love to sleep, especially in cozy beds, burrowed under blankets, or on the chest of my favorite person. I’m easy to pick up and always agreeable to a belly rub! Don’t assume I’m a total couch potato though! I love to go on walks or rides in the car, where I gaze out the window at the big wide world.
Along with my age come a few health concerns. I have all of 1 little tooth left, a heart murmur, and a cherry eye that is cosmetic only. The vet said I don't have an enlarged heart, so no medication required at this time! These problems don’t prevent me from loving life though, especially when I’m following around my human or basking in the sun!
