Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Chubbs (AKA Chubby), a 9 Year Old, 20 lbs. Yorkie mix being fostered in Boulder, CO.
***Only Applicants within the Boulder, CO area will be considered.***
Updated bio 10-10-22: Chubbs (aka Cubby) is a 9-year-old male Yorkie/terrier mix (our best guess is that he's mixed with Australian Terrier).
Cubby has been in his foster home for several weeks and here's what we've learned about him so far – he's a gentle guy who loves to cuddle and play with toys, and he has the biggest brown puppy dog eyes that will melt your heart. He's house trained but also knows how to use a puppy pad if a backup option is needed. He gets along well with other dogs and is truly a wonderful companion who just wants to be with his people and make them happy.
We think Cubbs would love the attention of being the only dog in a household or it would also be great for him to bond with another similarly sized, kind & mellow pup to go on adventures with. Cubby has been hard at work exercising and eating healthy, and needs an active household who will make sure he continues to have a healthy diet, daily exercise, weekly brushings, and regular check-ups. He also needs someone who is home most of the time, as he really loves being around people and shouldn't be left alone for longer than a couple hours.
If you can give kind-hearted Cubby an active forever home full of love, where he'll spend lots of quality time with you on walks and cuddling on the couch, and you'll make sure to keep him happy, healthy & safe, please complete the adoption application.
Initial Bio (9/18/2022) - Chubbs comes to United Yorkie Rescue as an owner surrender, as his owner is moving and unable to take Chubby to the new residence. Chubbs is mostly up to date on vetting, however will require a dental procedure.
He has separation anxiety and would do well in a home where an owner is frequently present. A work from home or active retired couple would be an ideal home scenario for Chubbs so he can get the attention he deserves and is seeking. Chubbs current veterinarian has indicated that Chubbs, AKA Chubby needs to shed a few pounds. Walking and exercise would be beneficial to help Chubbs trim down a bit.
Stay tuned for more information as Chubbs settles into his new foster home!
