My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Duke! This sweet, young boy was brought to us after he was found abandoned in the local, wooded management area. His paws were completely scorched, he was dehydrated & underweight. Our rescue has been able to help him heal, but now we need your help finding this super sweet, loving boy his forever home.

Duke is currently up-to-date on all vaccines, and it’s heartworm negative. He does have Ehrlichiosis (tick borne) which is asymptomatic and not requiring any treatment at the moment. As long as it remains asymptomatic there’s nothing to do.

Duke is incredibly sweet with other dogs, cats and humans alike! You can tell that this boy wants to do nothing more than be your buddy, follow you around, and have a great day with you. He rides in the vehicle with no fuss, and he is crate trained for the night time. Since he was a hunting dog, we are currently working on housebreaking and common commands, but his willingness to learn is a beautiful thing.
