My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cecilia is a beautiful Russian Blue looking female who was brought to the shelter by a soldier being deployed. She came with three very young kittens: Cirrus, Celeste, and Cecil. Cecilia is extremely shy and fearful of people and would be best suited for an experienced cat owner who understand patience, cat communication/body language and the need to allow the cat to adjust and develop 100% at their own pace over time. The home environment needs to be peaceful and tranquil, with no children under the age of 16. In addition to unrestricted access to a warm, safe home environment, Cecilia also requires safe restricted access to the outdoors - for example, a screened porch or safe outdoor area with cat-proof fencing. If you would like to meet Cecilia, please complete our online adoption application so that a volunteer can reach out and fill you in on the next steps in our process.

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
