Kirby was found as a stray in rural georgia. After holding him for several weeks no owener stepped forward and he travelled down to our rescue to find his home. He is a medium sized long hair dog which looks like a large Havenese mix. He is 28lbs and has a long body and short legs. His breed is a mystery but Havenese was the best guess we could come up with. This is what is foster had to say about him:
Kirby is such a love. He wants to be by your side and enjoys cuddle time. He is well behaved and makes a perfect lap dog. He accepts new surroundings and will go anywhere. He enjoys riding in the car, walks well on leash and house trained. He cat tested with no reaction. Will do good in a home that is on the go. Kirby is housebroken but i have several other male dogs in the home and he does mark. Hoping this calms down now that he neutered.
kirby has tested positive for heartworms. He has started the slow kill method of treatment. He is a young dog with no outward symptoms and is on doxycycline antibiotic for 30 days and his adoption fee includes 1 year of heartguard.
