Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Buster is an 8 month old Labrador mix brought to the shelter as a stray with his sister Bella. Buster is shy, but watches everyone carefully to determine if anyone is trustworthy. Buster will need a little time to get to know his family and trust them, but we can tell he wants to be part of a family. He needs the opportunity to become the dog he was meant to be. Buster is not aggressive and gets along with other dogs. If you want to truly save a dog, adopt Buster and save him from a lifetime of shelter life.
Buster’s adoption fee is $100.00 and this includes sterilization, shots, and worming with an optional microchipping and registration for an additional $20.00. We have a dog park to check compatibility with existing dogs. Fill out an adoption application at heberspringshumanesociety.com. If your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment. The adoption application is NOT on Adopt a Pet. You must apply on our Heber Springs shelter website.

More about this shelter
Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns in Cleburne County. We work very hard keeping animals happy and healthy. We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
