Hinson is approximately 5 years old. He wandered onto our property and after we were unable to find his previous owner, we kept him. He's a ham. He's very laid back and easy-going, but does enjoy walks and chasing toys. He does need someone who isn't afraid to be assertive and make him listen as he can be stubborn sometimes. He is an outdoor dog, but is crate-trained; however, he requires a strong crate or he will break out if he gets bored or scared. With enough time, he could learn to be an indoor dog and would love it. I would avoid placing him in a home with cats unless supervised. For the past 4 years he has been living with our other dog, Miley. The two get along, but do play rough. We would like to adopt them together if possible. They have gotten along with other dogs in the past, but I would suggest introducing them slowly as they were previously attacked by another dog and had to defend themselves. He is a coward when it comes to storms and will need to be sheltered.
