My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little orphaned Annie; is fully aware of her disability and has adjusted well. She came to us as an ex-breeder, delivered in her breeder box from the son of the lady that relinquished her before her demise.
It only took a week to get Annie adjusted to her new found life style of being spoiled with treats.
Please no premature calls, if you would like to adopt her;
The First step to adopt is to fill out our adoption application
Please copy and paste this link to apply to adopt; https://nwparrotrescue.org/applications/adoption-application
Annie is completely blind in one eye, and has ½ sight in her right eye. She quickly has learned to trust humans, and learned to step up by watching us work with other macaws.
She is a quick learner. It just took her 2 days to teach her to learn. She is handled twice a day, and she is food motivated, and making progress daily.

Little orphaned Annie now has a new 40” dome top macaw cage which she loves.
We feel that any day she will say her first words which will be “Step Up-Good Girl” which she seems to mumble already.

Annie needs an experienced macaw handler, although she has Never nipped or bitten us yet, so we only feel comfortable rehoming her with an experienced macaw handler, who will be kind, calm and gentle with her special needs. She has only been handled by a man so far.
Serious macaw handlers only need to inquire to adopt her. We prefer homeowners who have the time to give her the special daily routing of taming and training she needs.

Her Adoption fee includes her new dome top cage
If you’re a homeowner and have more than 1 year macaw experience, and have the time and dedication to give Annie the proper training and proper diet while training she needs and deserves. Then we’d like to interview you to adopt her.
Local applicants move to the top of the list.
*We no longer will respond back to any emails or ANY phone calls in advance. We must have our adoption application in hand for us to contact you.
If you are confident that you obtain the skills to tame and train Annie; Moreover to give her the daily regiment of daily taming and training she needs and deserves. Then we would like to talk to you; after you submit your application.
Annie needs and deserves calm environment, with a sweet understanding and affectionate experience and dedicated handler, with a good homeowner.
Please fill out our adoption application, if you know you’re qualified to adopt her. If you’re ready to adopt Annie within the week, she comes with her new cage, a large care package and more.
You must qualify to adopt her with her extremely reasonable adoption fee. Submit yoyur application and we will be in contact soon.
