Missy was abandoned by her previous owner because her previous owner was pregnant and felt that she will not have enough time to care for Missy. She posted online looking for someone to adopt Missy and planned to drop her off at the shelter if she could not find anyone. Our volunteers saw her post saying this and rescued Missy. We took Missy to the vet to be spayed and put her in a foster home. Luckily Missy was very healthy. She has been at the foster home for 2 months, she is very well behaved, friendly towards people and other dogs. We think she is ready to look for her forever home.

Missy is a very bubbly and happy girl. She loves to play and loves food. However she never food or resource guards. She loves going for walks and still needs to work on her leash manners a little bit. Because she is young and curious, she sometimes gets excited and pulls on the leash to go check out all the different smells on her walks. But she is very smart and teachable, we totally believe that her leash manners will be great soon.. Missy needs her daily exercise. A 1-1.5 hour walk daily would be enough for her. She would also love to be someone’s jogging partner. Missy is a little shy with strangers, she prefers to observe for a little while before approaching. After that, she will wag her tail and enjoy some pets. Missy makes friends with every dog she meets. She is curious towards cats. when she was meeting a cat for the first time, she wanted to play with the cat and got a little too excited. But after we corrected her, she became very polite and gentle. Missy likes car rides and does not get car sick. She enjoys bathtime and let’s her foster mom clean her ears and trim her nails. If you give her some treats, she will be very quick to trust and bond with you. Missy is housetrained, she goes potty outdoors and use pee pads indoors. She is very obedient and teachable. She is very suitable for those who like to go on outdoor adventures. She can also chill and relax at home. She has a happy, innocent, and sweet personality. Missy has arrived in Vancouver on Sep 15. If you like Missy and want to give her a home, please fill out our application form and we will organize a meeting. We are sure that you will fall in love!
