Here's what the humans have to say about me:
J a c k has quite a story! He came to us when he was just 3 months old after a freak accident that left him paralyzed. A risky and expensive surgery was the only way he would potentially walk again and we wanted to give him the greatest opportunity to do so.
Jack immediately underwent spinal surgery and after just two days, he was already attempting to move his back legs. Since his surgery in June, Jack’s progress has been remarkable! His gait is a little wobbly but he has regained full mobility! He walks and RUNS like a champ! Due to his injury he has a weak bladder, so he wears a belly band in the house to prevent any dribbles, but he is great about going potty outside.
We estimate that Jack was born in early March and he weighs less than 25lbs. We have no idea what breed(s) he is but he has short, stubby legs and hasn’t grown much over the last few months, so we don’t anticipate he will get much bigger. Whatever he is, he’s stinkin’ adorable!
Jack is a busy body and loves wrestling, playing tug of war, exploring outside, collecting sticks and chewing bones. He frequents doggy daycare and enjoys hanging out with the other dogs. Sometimes he’s nervous with new people but food is the way to his heart and a few treats will quickly win him over. We are so proud of how far he’s come and now he’s ready for the final step of his journey - finding a family of his very own!
Out of area adopters WILL be considered for Jack!
