NOW THAT WE HAVE GRABBED YOUR ATTENTION AS A LAB LOVER, we did a DNA test on Deacon, just assuming he was a Lab mix. HE IS STANDARD POODLE, HUSKY, BASSET, LAB AND AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD!!

DEACON'S backstory is a story of neglect. Deacon and four other dogs were outside their whole lives with no shelter, no vet care, no attention. It took us almost 2 years in the court system to finally be awarded these beautiful dogs!!

DEACON is about 5 yr. of age, 95 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, has been treated for heartworms and is now negative.

DEACON LOVES, LOVES, LOVES PEOPLE! All people - big and little. And he is the definition of CHILL!!! He went to the groomer for the first time in his life and I was a little concerned as this was such a new adventure for him. The groomer said he was PERFECT. She just had a hard time working with him because he would not stop KISSING HER.

OUR WISH FOR DEACON is a fairly quiet home without any other pets. He wants and deserves all the attention for himself. He is NOT aggressive toward others, just tired of having to share whatever small amount of affection was afforded him.
