Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
Willie is a handsome 2 yr old smooth male chocolate and tan dachshund. Willie is a sweet boy that enjoys hanging out with his person. He can be full of energy and puppylike at times, but also likes to just chill on the couch with you. Willie listens well and comes when called. He likes to make his person happy.
Willie is very reserved around strangers. He gets nervous with new people and sudden moves, so no kids. Willie needs time and patience to build trust, but once he trusts you, he's a total sweetheart that wants to spend all his time with you.
Willie is crate trained and is working on potty training. He does well when you take him outside regularly.
Willie enjoys spending time hanging outside and exploring and will need a securely fenced yard for his safety. He does well with the other dogs in the house (including larger dogs) and will need a resident dog to help show him the ropes.
If you're looking for a best buddy to hang out and play with, Willie is your guy! Apply today!
The suggested adoption donation for Willie is a minimum of $600 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.
Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
