My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

We personally thank you for your interest in adopting one or more of our wonderful cats or kittens! We have invested a lot of our time, energy and resources to offer a second chance to these rescued kitties. Many have been through situations already and our goal is to prevent that from happening again. We are committed to seeing our cats through, as we have poured our hearts into them, and take our adoptions seriously, even after they leave our care.

We encourage an ongoing relationship with our adopters, and look for people that are easy to work with.

If at any time in the cat’s life you are unable to keep him or her, you are required to return the cat(s) to us.  We don’t stop caring once the kitties leave!

We make every effort that each adoption be successful. All adopters must complete an application. You must be at least 18 years old to fill out an application.  Please print clearly and considerately (for paper applicants). Please fill it out with complete honesty, – there is no “right” or “wrong” answer.

We have the right to refuse an adoption application for any reason without recourse if we feel that we need to gather more info, or for whatever concerns the well being of the kitties applied for.  If applications are incomplete, we can delay or deny an adoption.    Please give us a few days time to process your application and to get back with you, respectfully!

Cassandane is such a sweet gal, very gentle, but can also be very shy!  She gets along with other cats, mostly submissive.  She likes to play - laser light, feather toys, etc, so playtime is extremely encouraged.  It would be best to start her out in a small space; allow her to get to know you before letting her be overwhelmed by all new surroundings.  She is very gentle and will let you pick her up and hold her, but she is easily frieghtened, so ensuring your care with her will help build a solid bond.  She will come sleep with you, she keeps her distance, however, the playtime initiated will help her overcome her fears and have her looking forward to those special moments!

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Each cat adoption includes vet work; Spay or Neuter, Appropriate Vaccines, Microchip
(for most cats), FIV/FeLV Test, basic parasite treatments like deworming and ear checks (for mites),
and any other potential medical need at the time he or she is in our care.  Courtesy listings or cats that are not in our immediate care, may not have all the listed services and can be discussed at the time of an interview.

We also include an adoption  goodie bag with Premium Cat Food,  canned cat food, toys, feather toys or string toys, laser light,  adoption folder with vet history, healthy pet care and product brochure with subscription offered,  any available coupons, and as much information as needed to help you with your new kitty!  Similarly, cats that are courtesy listings or not in our direct care, may not come with these incentives, or may have other belongings to go with them, which can be discussed during the interview stage.

Adoption Fees:

An adoption fee or donation is used to help recover the medical expenses for each of our cats, and for their needs while in our care. The adoption fees vary depending on popularity, adoptability and other factors we take into consideration.

Our fees range from "any donation" - to 40 or 60 or so, for adults or over 1 year.  Average is 60 for teens, and kittens are 75 - 100 or so, depending on medical costs.  All fees are potentially flexible but we tend to consider it to be a reflection of the adopter's value in our kitties and their state of mind.

Once your new baby has claimed their new home with you, we may offer cat grooming services and will contact by permission for that, but this step is not a requirement.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is dedicated to rescuing and protecting unwanted felines that would otherwise be euthanized. We see to it that our felines are spayed or neutered as to reduce any potential unwanted lives in the future. Our friendly felines are adopted out into forever homes, while any feral felines are carefully relocated or returned. In our efforts, we assist and educate others in taking responsibility, the tradgedy of pet overpopulation, and the importance of saving lives by means of spaying and neutering.
