Lucy (8 years old) and Baby (7 years old) came into the POPP adoption program when their favorite human passed away. With nobody else able to care for them, they were placed with a foster who turned out to be exactly who they needed to help them begin to heal from their loss.
These little girls were the only dogs in their home but now live with other dogs in their foster home. They have done well with other dogs around and could have a buddy in their forever home if he/she is calm and easy going because these girls can be a bit bossy sometimes with their doggy friends.
-Lucy is potty pad trained but prefers using the doggy door to go out and potty, crate trained, leash trained, and knows all the basics including coming when called. She loves spending time on her foster's lap and loves to cuddle. Lucy is active and likes to play She does guard her food so mealtimes in her crate help keep mealtimes safe.
-Baby: This little lady knows what she wants and how she wants it, she has no issues making her desires by communicating with her body language and her voice.
Baby’s foster has been working hard to teach her basic listening skills. However, if Baby does not want to come, she will not Puppy pads are her preferred way to relieve herself because everything outside is very scary when you are under 3lbs (despite best efforts of her foster mother).
Both girls have been around cats and would be fine with having dog-savvy feline housemates. They can be temperamental and nervous about various situations so their forever home should not have kids under 12 years old or be very busy with company coming and going.
Both dogs are spayed, microchipped, up to date on their vaccinations.
