My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Suavecita is 8 years old Lab/Pit Bull mix and was rescued from the streets in Mexico because she was being mistreated by the neighbors. She is a medium sized dog, weighing about 50 pounds. She is very affectionate, playful and independent. She would do well in a home with children, dogs or cats! She will need a loving family with patience to show her how to be a house dog as she may have been in the streets or shelter her whole life. She is a very silly girl who is still full of life and likes to let you know when she wants attention!

Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!
