My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adelita is a 3-year-old cattle dog mix that was abandoned in a shelter due to malnutrition problems. She is now back in shape and a very loving and playful dog despite being abandoned! She loves dogs, cats and children and is very affectionate! Unfortunately, it’s not easy for large breed dogs to find a home in Mexico so amazing dogs like this spend most of their lives in shelters being overlooked when they are the most wonderful pets and family members!

Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!
