Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Guido is a big, beautiful Border Collie cross. He is 3 years old and around 79 pounds. His future forever home is in for a treat! He loves attention and loves to play. He has a fun, high energy, attention seeking personality that will do best in an active household.
As for playtime....Guido loves playing with balls, toys and water hoses. He also likes to walk and does well on a leash; however, he will need a daily dose of a energy burning activity... fetch is one of his favorites, even jumping into the water in pursuit of an over thrown ball.
Guido can be kind of reactive around pushy dogs, so his playtime should be in a fenced yard and only with dogs he feels comfortable with...NO dog park exercising for him with all those unfamiliar canine personalities running around.
Guido is kind of picky on who he wants to live with. He prefers the company of adult people. He isn't crazy about youngsters. Therefore he will be considered for adult-only homes or households with teenage children In addition, he isn't fond of cats, chickens or pushy dogs. So, he would be best in a household without these as well. If your family situation fits this, consider yourself one of the lucky candidates for this attention loving guy.
Guido is ready for a family that he can slather with love and attention and who wants to reciprocate the attention. But most importantly, his family needs to be versed and comfortable providing structure, leadership and positive reinforcement training.
Guido is house trained, crate trained, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on shots and preventatives. He is being fostered by the Atlantic Region Central Border Collie Rescue in VA Beach. If you would like more information about Guido you can email at hallhavenfarm@gmail.com or you can apply to adopt at www.arcbcr.org
