Here's what the humans have to say about me:
JULISSA - Mix / 3 years / 25kg / F-Spayed
Ok...so we never just call a dog a "mix" as we often try to sort out the possible breed of the dog. Based on her appearance, the most accurate we could come up with was "large fox" due to her spectacular ears, and her beautiful red coat. Personality wise....perhaps a bit foxy too? She is smart and is learning quickly, and listens well to gentle corrections. She is very calm and sensitive to chaos (hectic city living will not be her favourite thing). She is intrigued by the outdoors and loves to watch squirrels, geese, and even had a recent porcupine sighting!
Her foster mom can only say great things about her. Her house manners are good, and she is happy to chill out on a dog bed when she has her fill of fun. She loves to find a quiet spot in her crate to dream her night away. She is curious and quiet, but not timid at all. So far no accidents in the home, but foster mom is ensuring she gets regular breaks.
We would love her to have a secure yard to zoom and sun worship. She loves the company of her canine foster siblings, and zips around the yard with them, and loves to gentle wrestle. She is learning about dog toys too, which is every foster parents favourite moment. She does seems to appreciate time with her people a lot (men are cool too!). We think her ideal home would include a family keen on getting out and seeing the world. She loves her walks and is happiest with some solid exercise built into her day. She appreciates the routines in her foster home and she has created her own routine to align. She is great with dogs, cats and we suspect dog-savvy kids would be fine too.
If you are drawn to Julissa and feel that you can give her the best life possible, please apply at www.dibsrescue.com. Her adoption fee is $750. If you are a family with kids, please check out our resources on kids and dogs before you apply (https://dibsrescue.com/kids-dogs/).
