Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Currently located in: TN! Traveling up north this week!
Adoptable in: ANYWHERE! (Transport available to most places!)
Good with dogs: Doing much better now, she does require a very slow introduction to help her feel safe. She is very guarded with other animals over her food. We believe she was abused/ used as a bait dog.
Good with cats: She doesn’t seem to
Good with kids: Yes! She bonded immediately to a little girl with Down-syndrome! As always adult supervision is always required when kids are present!
House trained: Yes!
Crate trained: Yes!
Meet Delia!
Her foster family calls her “June Bug” as she’s pretty much the cutest little bug ever! Delia loves people, she is shy at first but once she knows you won’t hurt her she blossoms. We think she is approximately 5-6 years old, the wear on her teeth from chewing on chain link makes it hard to tell. Delia was picked up and brought to one of the highest kill shelters in rural GA… her time was up and we knew she didn’t deserve to be put to sleep just because the shelter was overflowing. She is absolutely a couch hog, loves to sleep in the bed, demands pets all the time and loves to be wherever her people are. Her foster family has dogs and cats in their home, at first Delia was very reactive to them (to be expected coming from the horrible shelter environment). When she is in her crate she does well- her crate is absolutely her safe space and essential to her being able to decompress and thrive in her forever home. She eats in her crate so she feels safe. She goes potty outside with one of the other dogs and gets along so long as she keeps her space. We think she would adapt to a home with other animals but it would require a very dedicated adopter to give her as much time as needed. She was clearly bred repeatedly over the years. Delia instantly made friends with a young girl that has Down syndrome, she is incredibly intuitive and loving to her people. Delia is about 45# and a low rider pocket sized house hippo! Our best guess is that she is a terrier/boxer mix!
Delia is looking for a family to love her the way she should have been since she was born. We think we can make up for lost time for this sweet girl!
If you think you are the right home for her please apply to adopt here:

All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped!
The adoption fee is $500.
We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have your new fur-members.
Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line.
We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview.
You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose.
Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters!
