My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Say Hi to Charlie!

He was found locally as a stray and not claimed by owners.

Charlie is food motivated and loves all people.  Charlie met an eight year old girl and was very appropriate - takes treats so gently! He's gentle and mellow. Charlie loves to run around outside, play with toys, and roll in the grass. Charlie also loves to give high fives!

Charlie is not crate trained, but he does not need to be. He will sleep, relax, or play with his toys while you’re away. He prefers to be with his humans while they’re home. He loves to sleep on the couch or lay in the sun. Charlie is house broken and will go to the door and bark when he needs to go out.

Charlie currently would do best as the only pet in the home.  He is searching for a foster home, or better yet, his furever! Is it you?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require each applicant to complete an adoption application, followed by a home visit. We also contact personal and veterinarian references. We want to make sure that the next home our furbabies go to, is their last, and that they will be loved like a member of the family.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster based rescue, but do also have a small shelter. You can contact us at diamondunderdogs@yahoo.com to setup an appointment to come out and check out some of our adoptables.

More about this rescue

Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue is a non profit animal rescue organization that is run by a dedicated group of volunteers. Our mission is to protect the welfare of animals, one life at a time, from unnecessary euthanasia. From high kill shelters to foster homes to caring adoptive families, Diamonds in the Ruff handles every aspect of the rescue process. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive necessary medical treatment. Foster homes are used to provide sanctuary and ensure a successful placement. Our goal is to make the adoption process a kind, informative and rewarding experience because we believe that every animal can become a treasured family pet.

Why we do it:
4 million animals are euthanized each year in the United States.
That is 300,000 a month
Over 11,000 each day
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue works tirelessly to decrease this statistic.
