Foster insights/story :
It seems like only yesterday she was a funny little puppy, but she grew so quickly into a beautiful young dog. Dotsia is affectionate, calm and gentle. Dotsia has proven herself to be a sensible and obedient dog who loves belly rubs. Unfortunately, Dotsia has never had her own home or human who can take her on long walks and play games with her. She was evacuated from Big Heart shelter to another shelter further west to protect the dogs.
Dotsia hasn't had a chance to experience life outside a shelter. The volunteers are kind and she is fed and kept warm. She is exercised and plays with other dogs. There are so many homeless dogs and the shelters in Ukraine are huge but the volunteers care and their biggest wish is to see all the dogs going to loving homes.
Now Dotsia is reserved for Canada for Niagara Dog Rescue and we are hoping her new forever family is reading this. Dotsia entered Big Heart rescue with her Mama. Dotsia or Dotsya means daughter. They would exercise together and life was good because they had each other. Then Mama was adopted and Dotsia was left alone and feeling sad. However Dotsia lived closely with Hobbit and Crush, two Ukrainian dogs who recently arrived in Canada. We hope that Dotsia will follow. She is a medium sized girl at around 40 lbs, shy and rather timid but we know with a loving home and time she will blossom. And her Mama would be so proud.
