Here's what the humans have to say about me:
“ Update”
Sunny has had his eye surgery and is recovering just fine. He is really a great dog.
Sunny was a neighborhood stray. I saw him one day and was too busy to stop. I posted him on Facebook. When I came back I drove the area and did not locate him. Days later my advocate neighbor saw him in a neighbor’s of hers front yard chained up. She talked to them and they told her he was a stray they took in but kept getting lose because they did not have the proper restraint tools of good fencing to hold him in the yard. He got loose again and I happened upon him at the same time my advocate friend was walking on her street. So we tried to catch him and take him back. But this time they said he would not let her brother touch him around his neck and had tried to bite him. They no longer wanted to try and keep him. So we had a little difficultly trying to catch him. He was getting aggressive but realized after getting plenty of treats thrown at him we were not going to hard him. He was in bad shape. He had bite wounds all over him around his neck and other areas. Probably one of the reasons he did not want her brother to touch his neck. He also had a severe infections in both his eyes. He was just a skeleton under all his matted dirty fur. After bringing him home and being real gentle his disposition began to change. He started warming up to me allowing me to touch him more and more. Once we had an understanding he started to get happy and dance to so his affection. True to his breed he was chow chow. His face would light up and he would look like the sun. That’s why he was named Sunny! He’s a great house dog and loves his large pen outside during the day. At night I bring him in and he has the roam of the house. He sleeps on a dog bed beside me at night. He is protective of his surroundings and his owner. He guards his yard and will give a warning bite to strangers that try to enter not introduced. Which is part of his breed traits and us a good thing! He does not require a lot of attention but does appreciate your attention to grooming and hugging him around the neck once or twice a day. Spending time with him will make him a real fur ball. Sunny needs your live and gentle kindness to develop into a mushy lovey teddy bear! He does the cutest Hi Five ever. Sunny does need Entropion surgery in both of his eyes. It’s a genetic condition due to his looks. We are waiting on funding to get this done. If you would like to donate for his surgery just go to our Facebook page snd use the Donate Button. Put for Sunny in remarks.
