Hooter is a funny dog. If you are ever out in the yard, working on something, you better keep your tools or anything else, out of her reach. She will take it when you aren't looking, and run around the yard with it. It is so funny. She is still shy from her beginning at the shelter, but we worked with her and her brother, Hooker, so they will walk on a leash. She likes to torment cats by nudging and barking at them to get them to play. She is very friendly with other dogs and people, but hasn't had much contact with children. She also likes to hoard all the dog toys. SHE IS A DIGGER!! If you have a yard that you are proud of, she is not the dog for you. she doesn't dig out, just digs holes. She does not jump over fences. Ours is only about 4 1/2 feet tall and she doesn't even think about it.
