Scotch is an approximately 1-2 year old boy who is ready for his new life to begin! This little cutie ended up at animal control as part of an eviction case and was running out of time.
This pocked sized pup still has a few pounds to gain and should end up low thirties. Scotch loves cuddles, toys, short games of fetch and playing with his foster brother. He is medium energy. He gets along with cats and other dogs but does sometimes guard his toys and other belongings and this needs to be monitored and worked on.
Scotch rides well in the car when crated, is doing well on leash skills and is crate trained. However he doesn’t really love his crate and sometimes needs to be reminded to be quiet! Scotch is mostly housebroken and does well if let out frequently and crated when unsupervised.
Scotch has come a long way since arriving in rescue but can still be shy at times or get spooked by random things. He will need to be on a leash or in a fence to keep him safe. He would enjoy being an only dog but would also do will with a compatible buddy. He still does some puppy chewing on his people’s arms and legs and would be better with older children.
Scotch is being fostered in the Springfield, MO area.
