Laekyn is a special needs adult cat, he was diagnosed with stomatitis at around 6 months of age. Due to this, he did require surgery to have all of his teeth removed. Laekyn has recovered well from this and for now he is eating dry kibble and wet food and managing very well. Laekyn does seem to have some flare ups (red and irritated gums) that require periodic vet visits for antibiotics, and there is the potential that he may require further dental care to address any remaining roots.
Laekyn never takes life for granted and lives each day to its fullest! He consistently uses his litter box and will give you gentle reminders when the food bowls are half empty. He loves to walk through traveling feet to test your agility, so he'll be best suited for a home with adults that don't have any mobility concerns. He gets along great with other cats and has learned to trust gentle dogs. Laekyn also loves to run, play and climb cat trees.
Laekyn's adoption fee is $85 and includes his nuter, current vaccines, and FeLV/FIV testing. If you are interested in meeting Laekyn please fill out an adoption application on our website at www.adopthope.org. Laekyn is seeking an indoor only home, Last Hope does require that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered, current on vaccines and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
