My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

•Duncannon PA• Theodore is the sweetest boy. He’s a little over a year old and definitely loves to play! He plays with his brother and sister chasing them and rolling all around. He loves exploring and loves his cat tree/scratcher. He will lay on the cat tree and just snooze away after playing. He likes to play with balls that make noise and loves the laser! He likes interactive toys especially the toys that have a ball inside that he can bat around! Theodore loves his head scratched and getting pets. He is a talker and it’s the cutest thing. He lives with other cats and has lived with small and large breed dogs and was fine. Theodore will be your bestie for life. He would do well with another cat so he could have a playmate and to snuggle with or would also be fine with just his human. Theodore is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Applications for Theodore can be found on our website at www.onedogatatime.us When applying to adopt through ODAAT, please know that we take pride in placing our animals appropriately based on their needs and personality. We want the best family for them and the perfect fit for your family. All applications are ran prior to choosing an adopter.. This process takes time and we do not adopt out on a "first come first served" basis.

Additional adoption info

The goal of ODAAT is to place our companion animals in lifetime, loving homes. Every home and every companion animal has it 's own unique personality and requirements. We place our animals in the supportive and loving environment of home foster care. While there, we gain knowledge about their personality, training skills, likes and dislikes.

To assist us with matching the correct companion animal with the most appropriate and compatible home, please fill out our adoption application questions as completely and correctly as possible and any other information you think would be helpful. The application will be followed-up by an ODAAT Adoption Coordinator, with a phone interview and then a home check.

Adoption contract and post-adoption follow-up checks are required as a condition of adoption. Some companion animals get multiple applicants or are not appropriate matches, so not all adoptions will be approved. Not all applicants will receive a yes or no response due to limited staff. We reserve the right to refuse any adoption without justification.
Our Adoption Costs vary but below is a guideline:
Dogs: $400-$300
Puppies:$450
Cats: $75
Kittens: $100

Why the high cost? Can't I adopt an animal for less? No.. and here's why: Our animals come to you fully vetted. It costs us less for medical care than you do to non-profit discount. So if you adopt an animal for less it will cost you more later. Spay & Neutering your animals, along with keeping up on shots prevents disease & illnesses.

Go meet their pets

We are an all foster-based rescue. Once a potential adopter submits an application they will receive a "Welcome email". This email requests certain steps be done in order for our volunteers to run the application. We do not process applications that do not return the requested information as we are extremely busy. We are very serious about the placement of our animals and want to make sure that the home is both perfect for the animal and perfect for the adoptive family.
