My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruce is a very special little guy who will need a home willing to give him a lot of patience and time to get used to them and grow on them. Bruce has some joint pain in his hips, and will likely need a home with no stairs he has to regularly go up or down, and dog beds on the floor, as furniture will be a challenge for him. Bruce's joint pain is most likely a result of haphazard/unethical breeding, while his situation is unfortunate we have found that managing his pain has made him much more friendly with those he sees regularly and open to affection. Bruce's joint pain makes him pretty grouchy most days but don't let that fool you, Bruce is a sweetheart through and through. He loves when his face is pet gently and scratches behind the ears, as well as curling up next to someone he feels safe with. He takes time to warm up but greatly values a companion who will be patient with him. We are not yet sure if Bruce can go to a home with other dogs or cats, and if you have other pets we recommend only adoption or considering adopting if you have a separate room Bruce could go to so you can practice a very slow introduction. Bruce cannot go to a home with children under 15. Bruce is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and will be microchipped on his adoption day.. Due to his ongoing medical concerns, Bruce's adoption fee has been waived.
