For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THANK YOU for finding us and interest in our rescued dog. Because Alto is an international rescue through South Korea. You will have to meet your dog(s) and pick your dog(s) up from the airport.
International airport for picking up dogs:
【SFO、SEA、IAH、YVR、YYZ、LAX/ONT、JFK.】
------------------------------------
Alto is generally calm and gentle. He likes to meet strangers except for older males because when he was a puppy, older men in the neighborhood once grabbed him and lifted him up in the air. He was terrified and ran to a dark corner under a chair.
He is very friendly with dog but if the other dog is aggressive, he growls back, too. But he's not aggressive!
He has encountered with cats for four times at the hospital. He went to sniff the cat and the cat scratched his face. He was surprised and stayed away from the cat.
Alto doesn't have a lot of ride experience, he will be a little nervous at first, but he will definitely be better with more experience in the future!
Alto is 100% outdoor potty trained. He also does it during walks. The foster takes him out 2-3 a day. Alto enjoys taking walks and even gets overexcited so much that the foster tries to calm him down. He may pull when he has urge to pee or poo at some places. Then he follows the foster’s lead.
Other:
1. No separation anxiety
2. The vet found he has posthitis during the neuter procedure and removed the pus from the area.
3. He scratches when he eats pork. (Not severe allergy, but he scratches himself)
4. He is in crate training. So far he goes inside by himself and plays there, too.

🌻Rescue story
Hay and Alto are siblings and Shallot was a different puppy that was tied next to them.
The mother of Hay and Alto was tied outside in chain. The owner previously has tied other dogs outside in his other fields and was not punished when the neighbors reported him to the police. (It is illegal but it’s just in words and no one has received any sentence for abusing animals)
The mother dog gave birth to 4 puppies on rock and because she was tied, she couldn’t breastfeed the puppies. The puppies were fed food waste and water was very scarce. We convinced the owner that he shouldn’t keep his dogs like this and received disown agreement.
The dogs went to the fosters and thankfully, all of them was adopted except Hay, alto and Shallot.
Shallot was tied right next to Hay and Alto. Her ear was torn but was not getting any treatment. She was also eating food waste.
The owner at first refused to give up Shallot, too, but as she got bigger the owner soon agreed to disown Shallot.
