My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caleb is 1 yr and 10 months old and weighs 45 lbs.
Caleb was found abandonned on an Egyptien roadside when he was a very young puppy. A kind woman took him to a boarding kennel where he grew up and stayed until our org came to his rescue.
Naturally, Caleb is still a little shy when first meeting new people because he grew up in a kennel without one on one human attention, since after all, he was just an other street pup, one of so many over there☹️
In spite of it all, Caleb bonded quickly with his foster caregivers and loves being given belley rubs and even gives a touch with his paw when he wants some love! He is a sweet, happy pup, very affectionate with his keepers to whom he will give a paw to get petted. Caleb is housebroken and crate trained. He is quiet and will only bark to alert when door bell rings. He is still a puppy so he requires to be crated when left home alone as he will grab a shoe if given an opportunity. He is a sight hound, therefore very perceptive and smart, which makes him also very trainable. At first being leashed frightened him but he quickly figured out that the leash meant going outside. So now, he goes near the leash which is hanging on the wall to let his caregivers knkw that he wants to go for a walk!
This very handsome young dog will do well with experienced laid back adopters as he needs more leash training and also will benifit from further exposure to the outside world since this big new world he is discovering outside the kennel can sometimes still be frightening for him. Further exposure and socialization will bring out his full potential of being an absolutely awesome family companion. He is totally ready for more new adventures!
