My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone! My name is Dexter. I am approximately 2 year old, neutered male. I am up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and started on prevention. I need to find a family who will teach me basic obedience, establish a routine for me and give me lots of love! I have already learned sit and down. I love to snuggle with people! I also love stuffed toys and will carry them around with me to make me feel comfortable and secure. I enjoy nursing on my stuffed toys, but sometimes I do tear them up. I am 100% Weimaraner, confirmed by DNA testing, even though I don’t look entirely like normal ones. What makes me different is that I have markings like a Doberman. It’s called “Mark of the Hound”, which is similar to Doberman markings but on a Weim body. I am good with other dogs who are laid back and not prone to growl, if I get a little rowdy. I am pretty much all puppy in a big body, so small children may not be suitable. I have a pretty high prey drive too, so my people are unsure about how I would do with cats. I have to say that I am a very sweet boy, who just wants to be loved and get lots of attention. I haven’t had much of that in my life before coming to LWR and my hope is to find someone who will help me be the best I can be. Are you that someone?
