My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He just needs someone to give him a chance.

Our sweet boy Mack has been waiting (with us) for 8 months for his happy ending and we can quite figure out why no one has picked up what he's putting down yet. Mack is an absolute slice o’ sunshine. If he were human, he’d be that enthusiastic morning person that bounces out of bed before the alarm to make sure he can get in a nice long run before work. Mack is a happy go lucky people pleaser whose best time of day is anytime your hands are on his belly. This guy LOVES the snuggz, and his foster mom says he’s known to position himself at the best angle for scratchins’ at any available opportunity. Mack has taken a particular shine to his foster dad, and these brotato chips are inseparable. If foster pops goes into a room without Mack and shuts the door, his bff just sits outside and patiently waits to be reunited again (cue song "reunited and it feels so gooood"). Mack considers himself a toy guy, and prefers the company of friends with stuffing and squeakers to other 4 legged pals. His current BFF is a yellow stuffed turtle that his foster mom says is only missing a couple flippers after weeks of play. Mack is also not a barker, has his house manners in check, and is working on his leash manners as well. He would love a family that's active and will let him live his best sidekick life. This guy is the stuff ride or dies are made of. Mack is ready and waiting to take a chance on finding a human that won't let him down this time… He just needs someone to give him that same grace. Read on to learn how to apply to bring Mack home and show him what family is all about.

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested negative for heartworms.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
